Exploring the Narrative Poem Workshop taught by Scott Vetsch IN-PERSON at American School of Storytelling 1762 Hennepin Ave S, Minneapolis, MN Saturday, April 20, 1:00 – 3:00 PM Tickets $20 https://americanschoolofstorytelling.
com/event/narrative-poem/ Is it a Story or is it a Poem? Is there a boundary between them? In this workshop, we will consider length, density, and audience.
And how the audience changes how a story is told.
A poem isn’t a story, but a narrative poem is.
We will write our stories and tell them to each other, finding and focusing on the images that make and move the story.
The flow of images is the river we are floating down.
Give your story wings.
Instructor Bio: Scott Vetsch a long-time performer of his writing.
He is a founding member of the Bosso Poetry Company, preforming poetry in bars, festivals and county fairs for decades.
He has straddled the line between poetry and storytelling and is still not sure which side he is on.
