I bought this desk on Facebook Marketplace for my office.
It’s got some beautiful details on the desk surface and has a large keyboard drawer with a drop-down front for easy access.
It is 48in long, 28in wide, and 30in high.
Or if you prefer: it is 4ft long, and 2ft 4in wide, and 2ft 6in high
There are some surface scuffs, marks, and wear spots and one chew/gouge mark on an inside panel underneath in the back (I include a picture of this).
This chew/gouge mark is not noticeable unless you are underneath the desk.
I didn’t see it until I had the deck flipped over to clean the underside.
I am reselling this desk because it was apparently, at some point in its existence, in an environment with cigaret smoke and something else, maybe incense.
The wood has absorbed some of the smoke and the other smell, and since I am extremely scent sensitive, I am unable to keep it.
I cleaned it with Simply Green and though it lightened the scent it did not remove it completely.
I can’t even have scented candles or use strong shampoos and am particularly sensitive to cigaret smoke, so unfortunately working at this desk isn’t an option for me.
I’m really bummed I can’t keep it, because it’s so pretty.
It is currently covered and sitting in my dry, insulated garage.
I’m hoping there is someone else out there who can use and enjoy it.
It’s a nice piece of furniture, and new it was probably worth about $1,200 or more.
I’m asking $250 for it.
