This is a striking, tribal SERAPI Oriental rug that was hand-knotted in Turkey in the 1930's.
It is most likely to be used as a runner, although it can be used as an area rug as well.
It is an elegant tribal design with three larger tomato hexagons, running down the center of the ebony colored field.
AND this is surrounded by an outer border in crimson red.
