Position Summary
Perform skilled electrical work in the construction, installation, alteration, preventive and corrective maintenance and repair of varied commercial lighting, power and electrical distribution systems and equipment at Minneapolis-St.
Paul (MSP) International Airport and associated facilities.
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of medium voltage switch-gear and transformers; maintenance of airfield lighting, signage and NAVAIDS; and other tasks as assigned.
This position may also perform duties at the reliever airports.
Hours of work: Monday - Friday.
Assigned shifts are based on seniority; current shifts are listed below: First Shift - 7:00 a.

Second Shift - 2:30 p.

Third Shift - 10:30 p.

Premiums: Second shift = $1.

Position Description Accountabilities and Functions Maintenance and Repair of Electrical Systems and Equipment Listed below are some examples of systems and equipment to operate, maintain and repair (this list is not inclusive) Perform maintenance and repair of lighting for roadways, parking facilities, signage, interior and exterior lighting for buildings Maintain and repair ramp, airport beacon and airfield lighting Maintain and repair medium voltage switch gear, field lighting regulators, standby generators, transformers, motor control systems, and motors on all types of equipment Perform diagnostics and repairs on wiring and control problems on equipment due to insulation breakdown, short circuits, broken parts, burned parts, worn parts, etc.

Service and repair security gates Initiate preventive maintenance on equipment by cleaning, oiling, greasing and replacement of parts Perform locating services for any excavation on airport property as directed Perform diagnostics and repairs underground cabling and equipment Perform work from work orders, oral instructions, sketches, schematics, etc.

Paul International Airport and/or surrounding campus Experience maintaining HVAC control systems Experience with airfield lighting systems and radio controlled remote systems Experience in repairing, altering and maintaining fire alarm and secured card access systems Previous experience working in a campus or commercial facility environment that has multiple buildings or locations Possession of a valid Class A Master Electrician license Previous experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Previous experience with medium voltage (13,800 volts) Other Information Motor Vehicle Record Evaluation Guideline Safe driving habits are critical for individuals employed in MAC occupations that require extensive driving of equipment on the aircraft operating area.
As a result, external applicants for the Airport Maintenance Worker position must meet the MAC's standard of safe driving in order to be hired.
A contingent offer of employment shall be withdrawn if the motor vehicle record contains: 1.
Three (3) or more minor moving violations within the last three (3) years from date of offer.
Minor violations include, but not limited to: Failure to wear a seat belt Speeding Failure to stop at a stop sign Failure to yield 2.
