_*Job Summary:*_ This full-time position is responsible for creating and changing drawings, as well as the related documentation for mechanical components and assemblies, using the SolidWorks CAD system.
This is a sales engineering role where you will work directly with our customers from the design phase all the way through to final delivery.
Due to the assigned responsibilities, this position requires a detail-orientated and meticulous individual with excellent communication skills; someone who can maintain a high standard for the technical aspect of the job, and work with our customers to cultivate relationships.
_*Duties and Responsibilities:*_ * Work directly with end users to design electrical enclosures per their specifications * Answer engineering questions from customers inquiring about our enclosure systems * Complete project quotes based on customer requirements * Under the general direction of the Engineering Manager, update and create manufacturing drawings and CAD models using SolidWorks and established company drawing procedures * Utilize our 3-D Modeling system, primarily focusing on the production of single-door, twin, and multi-door enclosures, consoles, enclosure accessories, and some 3D electrical layouts * Produce quality manufacturing drawings to produce our enclosures * Maintain documentation such as assemblies, parts, manufacturing drawings, and bills of material * Effectively schedule enclosure manufacturing to meet customer-requested lead times * Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction * Maintain and grow customer relations by proactively calling and following up with customers to generate future sales * Service accounts post-sale * Create purchase orders and maintain inventory by utilizing the Bystronic system * Interact with coworkers to effectively complete tasks in a professional manner * Participate in project team meetings * Perform other related tasks as assigned _*Required Skills and Abilities:*_ * Detail orientated * Create quality manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks * Read, analyze, and interpret common technical documentation, specifications, and engineering drawings * Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and co-workers * Expand current customer accounts * Ability and willingness to learn * Self-driven * Ability to streamline processes * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Proficient with Microsoft Office Software * CRM experience * Experience with online meeting software _*Education and Experience:*_ * Four-year degree in Engineering or Mechanical Design * Similar technical drawing program education or work experience * Minimum of 2 years related experience with SolidWorks to create drawings and models of components and basic assemblies * Experience in customer service is a plus * Electrical Experience is a plus _*Physical Requirements:*_ * This position is primarily a desk job that requires prolonged computer work, phone and, presentation skills.
_*Traveling Requirements:*_ * Travel to our Marshfield, WI manufacturing facility occasionally and as needed.
