Position Summary: The Principal Technical Application Specialist is responsible for coordinating, installing and supporting Bracco’s connectivity solution at customer facilities.
The duties will consist of leading BMT’s efforts to work with users and vendors on interface projects, troubleshooting, and maintenance on new and existing interfaces.
Additionally, through customer calls, presentations and customer trainings this position will support the efforts of the Field Sales Organization to drive the uptake of Bracco’s connectivity solution and contrast delivery systems, as well as capital expenditures to include software and licensing for connectivity platform and yearly subscription fees.
This position requires a mix of people leadership, project management, technical skills, communication skills and troubleshooting.
From time to time, customer demos and sales support will be part of the job.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Understands business, technical and clinical objectives of DI and CV BMT (Bracco Medical Technologies) products and services in order to facilitate planning, coordination, execution and follow-up associated with the implementation of the Bracco connectivity platform including system integration and end-user training.
Ensure the products are installed, configured and tested according to Bracco Medical Technology standards, in a manner that is also compliant for the customer.
Acting as primary technical support for interfaces after go-live in conjunction with Knowledge centers, Customer Support Center and Service Department.
May provide day-to-day work direction for internal or 3rd party installation team(s) Act as subject matter expert and trainer for internal and external customers and stakeholders.
Provide technical and engineering feedback in support of the development of BMT digital platforms.
Develop and maintain procedures and documentation related to the installation and service of Bracco Medical Technologies digital products.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational symposia; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Travel within North America region (50%) and conduct Customer site visits.
Required Skills Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in a related field such as hospital RIS/PACS, general IS/IT, Biomed or medical equipment engineering support.
Working hospital knowledge of Computer Assisted Tomography (CAT), Magnetic Resonance (MR).
Specific working knowledge of virtual machine setup, HL7, DICOM, basic healthcare IT skills or RIS/PACS technical implementation skills.
Experience installing/managing Windows based systems.
Possess strong knowledge of client server and web technologies with excellent problem solving, trouble shooting and resolution skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering documents and specifications.
Strong demonstration of customer service and sense of urgency.
Demonstrated ownershipin taking full accountability for assigned support functions.
Strong interpersonal and professional skills to interact and build long term relationships with users, vendors, and technical staff.
Strong organization and time management skills to prioritize, execute and deliver quality services, on time.
Results-oriented, hands-on specialist with a strong work ethic who can operate effectively in a collaborative environment working on multiple projects of varying size and complexity.

Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally, with internal and external customers, suppliers, vendors and/or end users, as well as work with such customers both in-person or remotely.

Other: This position will require in excess of 50% travel, including overnight travel.
