The Maintenance Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, industrial controls components and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and safety procedures.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
These duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and will be supplemented as necessary.
Observes all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, including participation in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits.
Applies current MN electrical code while performing work in a safe manner.
Performs skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems for manufacturing equipment, building and grounds.
Work with automation systems (drives, PLC, HMI and other types of systems).
Installs transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment.
Review and interpret electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics and determine material lists and costs.
Establishes, performs, and documents routine preventative maintenance.
Evaluates processes and makes recommendations for improvements.
Maintains inventory of spare parts (in coordination with MRO department) necessary for operation of manufacturing, building and grounds.
Maintains electrical tools and equipment in good working condition.
Be an active team player and contributor, share knowledge, absorb knowledge from others including constructive feedback.
Provide excellent customer service to internal customers and manufacturing teams.
Other duties as assigned including occasional on-call duty.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Vocational certification in related field
Current Journeyperson or Master’s Electrician License in the state of MN - verifiable via DLI website.
Desired:
Experience and knowledge with all facets of automated manufacturing (PLC, complex mechanical, electronics, robotics, pneumatic, and hydraulic) equipment.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, and CMMS (preferably Maximo) experience.
Industrial experience is preferred.
